Kelvin Davis

Post by Old bones Ian »

I see that former world title holder Kelvin Davis was boxing over here last week, and also has been sparring David Haye.
Anyone have any info on what Davis was like in sparring Haye? i know he's got a reputation for being a bit of a nutter.

Really odd to read that about Davis, I didn't know untill you pointed it out. Anyone see him, I would have liked to have gone. He's got a good style.

Good sparring opponent for Haye, his style is quite similar to Fragomeni's.

Yes I was there. report on BBN as normal. Davis had trouble getting to grips with the big height difference but looked menacing!

Seeing as Davis weighed 203lbs for the fight last Sunday, its quite sensible for him not to box Tua, he would have been outwieghed by a huge amount. Don't think Davis could compete with any of the top heavies.

Hopefully he might get a few more fights over here, a match-up with Macca or Haye would be interesting.
