Enzo Macca - O' Neil Bell?

Anyone see this coming off? Obviously you'd have to favour Bell, and heavily, but Enzo's got proven power at at least fringe world level (stopping Dominguez with one shot isn't something done often) and he's proven he can go 12 rounds at a good pace. You have to give him at least the puncher's chance here, in spite of possible chin issues.

Fair play to Enzo if it comes off, he definitely has a punchers chance he has really heavy hands. But keeping Bell on the canvas is a big ask. Bell would be favourite but I wouldn't rule out the upset.

That Bell fella sounds quite cool, doesn't he?

"Yes, I'll come to the UK!"

I think Haye's done more to justify the fight -- call me a traditionalist, but you know Euro title & beaten guys who were once genuinely world class -- but I certainly wouldn't complain at the match.

Christ, on ITV as well. After rewatching the third Woods-Johnson bout, I wonder if McKenzie will be dipping into his thesaurus for new adjectives to describe how "legitimate" this fight is? Or will he be telling the casual fan that Bell is "challenging" for Macca's title?

Okay, that was a cheap shot. Sorry Duke, if you're reading.

He's as tough as nails. But I think Enzo hits harder than Mormeck and Rothman. Maybe not Sellers but Enzo is made of sterner stuff than Sellers who was vulnerable to say the least. Great fight if it comes off.

Rothmann was outclassing him all the way, until the eleventh.

In another, more subtle way, Dale Brown was pretty much controlling him. Best Bell could do was 1/2 land some good body shots, while eating up jarring punches to the face.

Bell BIG favourite in this fight.
Enzo has a dodgy chin, and has yet to face top 15 opposition.Sure he has a huge punch, but does he have the quality to land it on world class fighters?

Haye will get to him first anyway.

Bell claiming no one wants to fight him when two people are going to fight for the privalage sigh. Hope Haye gets the fight though I could understand why he would rather Enzo particularly as Enzo would be good defencive practice for the more difficult haye.

Why would he be BIG favourite? Bell already got soundly outboxed by Brown and shit it took him more than 20 illegal punches to beat Mormeck, though I felt Jean gassed and the referee was shocking..Seriously, Enzo beating Bell wouldn't be such a huge upset.

Do you honestly beleive Macca can outbox any top level fighter?
Fact is,Enzo has a fvcking lot to prove.
He was given a title he does'nt deserve.Just who has Enzo beat?? Please tell me.
Bell is proven at top level,Enzo has'nt even fought top level yet.Thats why Bell starts a BIG favourite.

Not so much outbox, but outpunch. Bell is proven at top level, with controversy. Mormeck was battering Bell and O'Neil was very dirty, did you see that fight?
Here is an article about it if you didn't http://www.tigerboxing.com/articles/ind ... 1001245395

Enzo is still unproven too, his stoppage of Dominguez was impressive and he definetly has a big punchers chance of stopping Bell aswell as the size advantage.

Now not once have I said I think Enzo will beat Bell, but I'd only favour Bell slightly, hence not a huge upset.

Mormeck did gas, otherwise he was clearly outboxing Brown. :box:

I think Enzo can win this, Bell gets lucky too much and he won't always get lucky.. :TU:

Bell's already reigning on borrowed time after messing Cunningham around, the prospect of an easy touch in Macca and another world title on his mantlepiece should tick all of his boxes, add to that the fact that Macca's now riding on Calzaghe's coattails and I can see this fight coming off without a stretch.

Mormeck feck's him up in a rematch, Cunningham puts a clinic on his ass and Haye sparks him early ... Macca gets battered, cheque please!

Edit: I'm sure Warren won't mind the risk either, he probably knows that Enzo's a decent opponent away from getting sparked again so why not get it over with against the fighter considered to be the best in the division? US vs UK would sell well too, Calzaghe's a favourite against every American fighter out there so Warren's at least going to go 1:1 and make a shiny shilling in the process.

Enzo's people should send Bell the tapes of Macca getting iced by Swaby and decked by Scott - and fast.

Bell will fancy the fight even more then, as no doubt he's heard the Welshman's chin is rumoured to be less that granite. So probably sees this as a very winnable fight.

But while Enzo hasn't mixed in the same class by a long shot, Bell isn't exacltly going to make you forget Pernell Whittaker in a hurry. So there's a good chance Enzo can make a fast start and land a bomb or two, before shipping anything in return...and then anything can happen.
