Here are the results from team USA Friday night in Toronto[/b]

Shawn Estrada CA 165lb won RSC 3RD ( But a lot of dirty tactics points taken away for hitting behind the head )no points taken for low blows,pushing pulling ,or throwing boxer to the floor good thing he had a USA Ref.

Josh Garza TEXAS 178 lost on points (Had in man down in the 3rd but couldnt finish

Boyd Melson Army 152lb Lost on points Adam Trupish 2004 olympian (1st rd Trupish caught Boyd with a hard right uppercut that set up a good 1st rd for him
2nd rd Boyd recovers and makes good adjustments with faints and counters he wins this round easy
3rd too close to call but were in Canada right! :TU:
4th Trupish comes on strong Boyd hangs in but loses the dec.
Boyds 1st bout in 8 months due to Miltary asignments he looked good

Akeema Stocks New Jersey 154Lost on points Mary Spencer World Champion Stocks starts out strong and fast with pressure but not enough experience for Spencer who adjusts and gives her a 8 count in the last round Stocks loses Decison on points

Mike Hunter Las Vegas 201+Won by Retirement had too much speed and movement for the Canadian gives him a stading 8 in the 3rd REF calls in MD to check his eye which is closed ( the Canadian doctor says he could continue imagine that) Corner throws in towel before the ref can say box
Overall we didnt do too bad not our best team but they all boxed well .

any coments for the new kid on the block ?

Hey - thanks for the results and comments! Shawn Estrada is known as the DQ King. Too bad our ref didn't do that in this bout.

Excellent win for Mike Hunter. Akeema has a tendency to run out of gas. Too bad the ref couldn't make his own decision to retire. Sheesh! Hunter is an up-and-comer, just breaking into the open division ranks in the U.S. He's still green but I think he'll mature into an all-around boxer as he gets more experience.

Do you know if Trupish is going to stick around until 2008?
