Post by Daveyswan »

Good afternoon all.

When I type on my home computer half the letters have don't work. I've changed keyboards but still the same

Anyone got any ideas? Thanks in advance

Take it to PC World (make sure you erase all porn before hand). It's probably just a wonky port.

If you're running windows 98 or 2000 click start> settings> control panel> system> device manager> click the + next to the "keyboard".

What you see appear is your keyboard driver, highlight it and click the remove tab. Then re-boot the computer. Windows will recognise the lack of a keyboard driver and re-install it. If the driver is corrupted it might ask for the disc to be inserted so don't do this without your windows disk.

If you're using windows xp then microsoft already know about your porn and a guy will be calling round soon to tell you off. :o

Cheers

I fiddled with the port and some more letters worked, so I guess that is the problem... If pull the lid of will it be easy to perhaps srew the port in or make it more secure?

Thanks for your help - I friend gave me the PC as the Mrs recently left and took the PC!! - So I should imagine it has frequented a few porn sites...

Cheers
