Any way you look at it Max of their last five Mayweaher has four who have mixed it at the very top level Calzaghe has one. In you original post you said Mayweather should be critisied as much as Calzaghe for his choice of opponents.
Maywether has fought and beat most of the top men in four divisions, Calzaghe hasn't even fought all the top men in the one division he's been in for over 10 years.

Mixing with the best years previously dont mean shit when you are shot like Gatti and Mitchell. Brusseles is a never was in the first place, Judah is a one punch chicken dancer, so for Baldomir to be on the list is self explanatory, he beat a chinless wonder, and a punch drunk shadow of a man.

That's without taking into account any of Floyd's earlier opponents.

Gatti and Michell were past it, fine but so was Eubank and he was generally considered Calzaghe's best win prior to Lacy. When was the last time Mayweather fought someone like Ashira?

To be honest I'm not that impressed by JC either. However if you pushed me into a corner I'd say Bruseles is about on a par with Ashira.

No one gives a fvck what he's done above lightweight, where he should be 1-1 vs Castillo is negative cautious fights.

Nowadays he's even more tepid.

Floyd is retiring because he himself saw against Baldomir that he can't really do anything against these real welters. Floyd could do what he wanted against Baldomir because Baldomir is old and even if he landed his lack of punch power meant it was useless.

If Floyd fought Margarito he would have a guy who would walk right through his punches. Push him back the whole fight and then actually be able to hurt him. Margarito would throw big thudding punches to Floyds body. He would be broke down to the body and then destroyed upstairs. This Baldomir fight actually renforced my belief that Margarito would beat him.

You must've missed the first half of the Margarito/Lujan fight where Lujan was outboxing Tony. Sure, Tony wouldn't get hurt, but he'd be swinging at air the entire fight.
