Latest Rumblings: Adamek - Woods in negotiations again

It's been confirmed off the Polish forums that WBC 175 lb champ Tomasz Adamek is in serious negotiations with IBF champ Clinton Woods.

Now that Adamek's fight was shown live on HBO, this fight would make sense--in terms of both money and legacy--for both men.

Adamek is targetting the big names but Hopkins has retired and Roy is in the middle of a bit of a circus act, so that leaves Tarver (who is also in negotiations with Adamek) and Johnson...who just lost to Woods.

Supposedly, rumour has it off the Polish forum that King has stated that if the fight comes off, it will definitely be in the USA and televised on HBO. Both guys are coming off grueling wins, but it'd be great to see them step up yet again right off the bat.

Let's hope that Clinton takes the fight this time and so we can see a proper unification at 175.

I hope Woods takes it......... but i dont see him winning. Adamek is the new King of the 175lb division......... but, he needs to sort out his defence, he takes far to many shots!

I doubt it will be a unification. Woods will have to vacate the IBF title.

He'll have to give Johnson another fight, because his promoter Hobson stood on the side of the ring in one of the later rds. They won't reverse the fight to a DQ.

Best Woods can do is gun for another belt. No point spending the rest of his career struggling with Glen.

This would be a great fight. I'd favour Adamek definitely, but Woods has so much heart it would be very competitive.

Would be a great fight. Watching the Woods-Johnson 3 and Adamek-Briggs 2, I can't help but think the latter are way fresher and more promising.

I'd really love to see it, title or no title on Woods' behalf.

Clinton is twice the fighter he was against Roy; he may be starting to fade a bit but it would still be a great matchup (in which we may see more of the technical side of both guys).
