BOXER Curtis Woodhouse has been found guilty of charges of assaulting a police officer and using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour by magistrates sitting at Bridlington today (Tuesday).
Sentence against Woodhouse, 26, formerly of Driffield and now living in Brough, was adjourned until November 15 for reports.

Has all the info on that arcticle, looks as if it was just a situation that could have been avoided, could impact on Woodhouse's career, he ,ay face a ban by the board

They asked for probation reports to be prepared ready for sentencing on Wednesday. They have ruled out a custodial sentence.

He looked pretty sh*t in his debut fight to be honest, he was swinging off balance like a headless chicken.

He's well known for being a twat and I'm glad Birmingham City FC got rid of him. He will never amount to anything in the ring.

I dont know the circumstances of this case so dont want to comment on it, but talking in general terms assaulting a police officer can be as little as a finger prod to the chest.

Absoutely. Coppers love to throw their weight around, but they don't like getting anything back. They can be as 'us versus' them as a football supporter, and who knows if he even touched anyone?

Didn't the Spanish police pretend that Harrison practically knocked someone's eyeball out of the socket?

They can be just as petty as anyone else, and psychologists believe that police aggression is linked to gung-go, OTT American cinema viewed.

Given that half of us talk like Americans - by inserting the world "like" into every other sentence due to TV - who knows how far this pathological condition has gripped some of our 'finest'?

I don't know the ins & outs of this, but maybe they wanted to make a name with a high profile type?

I could be totally wrong, mind, but you never know.

That policeman did need a operation on his eye, so it was more than a tap he took on it.
But i know what you mean about over zealous police, you see it most Saturday nights in town, some young kid get a bit mouthy and a copper will antaganise the situation until he can arrest the lad, but on the other hand, the police do put up with alot of shit sometimes.
