From the ITV website:
allegedly hopes to hand the winner of next month's heavyweight fight between Matt Skelton and Audley Harrison a world-title shot against new WBO champion Shannon Briggs.
Briggs took the title from Sergei Liakhovich on Saturday with a dramatic stoppage in the final second of the final round.
Warren says he will now hold talks with Briggs' promoter Don King about the American fighter meeting the winner of the December 9 Commonwealth title showdown at the ExCel Arena in London.
"I'll be talking to Don in the next few days, and hopefully we can come up with some kind of plan," Warren said on his official website.
"Like all the current heavyweight champions, Briggs is very beatable, but that makes the division exciting at the moment.
"Hopefully there will be an opportunity for the winner of Skelton-Harrison in the New Year."
First Briggs is likely to face mandatory challenger Sultan Ibragimov, who has vowed to make the new champion's reign a short one.
"I congratulate Shannon Briggs on winning the WBO title last weekend, though I wasn't terribly impressed by his performance," said Ibragimov, who has 19 wins (16 by knockout) a draw from his 20 fights.
"I hope he enjoys his time with the belt now because he won't have a long reign."
The pair have been ordered to meet within 90 days of Saturday's fight by the WBO.
Ibragimov's promoters - Golden Boy Promotions, Seminole Warriors Boxing, and Golden Grain Promotions - will now begin negotiations with Don King, who represents Briggs.
"We're looking forward to speaking with Don and getting this bout done as quickly as possible," said Golden Boy Promotions president Oscar De La Hoya.
"We're confident that Sultan Ibragimov is the next heavyweight champion of the world, and we're eager to see him beat Shannon Briggs and put that championship belt around his waist."
