The latest championship news from the BBBoC regarding the British and English titles once again sees some intriguing contests made or in the process of being made.

BRITISH CHAMPIONSHIPS

CRUISERWEIGHT
JOHN KEETON (Holder) v MARK HOBSON

The above contest is put out for Purse bids in accordance with the Terms and Conditions attached to be received at the Board's Head Office by 12.00.noon on Wednesday, 13th December 2006.

Contest to take place by the end of March 2007, but not before 20th January 2007.

LIGHT MIDDLEWEIGHT (Final Eliminators)
GARY WOOLCOMBE v MICHAEL JONES

Agreement having been reached between the parties, the above contest will take place at the Goresbrook Leisure Centre, Dagenham, 26th January 2007. To be promoted by Frank Maloney.

THOMAS McDONAGH v MARTIN CONCEPCION

Agreement having been reached between the parties, the above contest will take place at the MEN Arena, Manchester on 10th March 2007. To be promoted by allegedly.

WELTERWEIGHT
KEVIN ANDERSON (Holder) v EAMON MAGEE

Agreement having been reached between the parties, this contest will take place at the Fife Ice Arena, Kirkcaldy on 16th February 2007. To be promoted by Barry Hearn.

Agreement having been reached between the parties this contest to be promoted by allegedly will take place on a date and at a venue to be confirmed.

Johannesson Vs Burns will be a good one.

Michael Jones Vs Woolcombe too as an eliminator for the British title is one I'd like to watch too.

Ando Vs Magee is interesting.

Has Hobson ditched his glorious WBU belt? Am pleased but I though he wanted to move on from domestic level? Anyone reckon Keeton will do him this time?

They;ve forced fighters to ditch belts like the IBO and WBF before.

Ben at ukboxingpress reports hobson has no intention of fighting Keaton

"The latest British title news at cruiserweight, light-middleweight, welterweight, super-featherweight and bantamweight. Please note that almost certainly Mark Hobson will not be pursuing a rematch with Buster Keeton. Hobson, currently pondering his future, currently resides as the WBU champion anyway and has received no contact from the Board of Control about being nominated to box Keeton"

I'm looking forward to Elwell-O'Donnell.

I'll be going down to the York Hall soleley for that fight - with Elwell's former Royal Marine Commando buddy's :)

Stu is the underdog but very much a live underdog.
