You cant be serious.
I really don't think he is.
I dont think he is either, just wanted to make sure. But still Double M's comments were funny though.

You must be on crack, Tyson never went down from a single shot it was always an accumulation of punches.

As long as RJ didnt go on the ropes, cos if he did Tyson would have crushed him. If RJ could keep moving for the full 12 rounds he may win on points. If Tyson gets in too close its all over. Any thoughts?
Tyson prime would have crushed Roy.

A better question would have been when Mike had slipped and Roy was on the way up.

'87 Tyson was fairly swift of foot...very active upper body movement...trained by Cus specifically to be an aggressive, pressure, all-action boxer.

Jones just might make it into the 2nd... the 2nd minute of rd. 1 that is.

DoubleM...what are you 15? I can't say that your comments are the most ridiculous that I have seen on this forum, but they are way up there! Jones a better chin than Tyson? I take it you have only seen Tyson's last few fights, which he was not knocked out in...he just quit due to exhaustion! A prime Jones would not have a chance in hell against a prime Tyson! Now Valuev...well, being that Valuev is such a feather-fisted giant Jones would actually have a chance with him, but he would not have a chance against Tyson and a prime Tyson would absolutely destroy Valuev's goofy, non-boxing ass!

Don't make me laugh, Barry. I suppose you missed Tyson's early career - where he was one punch away from being out cold from average punching Frank Bruno, or hurt badly by Tony Tucker. Bonecrusher Smith had Tyson staggering all over the ring at one point (although the rest of the fight was boring) and so did Pinklon Tubbs, and feather fisted James Douglas knocked him out!!

Who's Pinklon Tubbs? :-?

How do you know he was one step away from being out cold against Bruno?

He may have got up from the knockdown & fought back.

He seemed to do quite well despite having his legs buckled; he kept coming at Frank, so I don't think he was in that much trouble & I say that as someone who has criticised Tyson a lot, for lacking heart, being mentally weak & having poor stamina.

I agree that Boneclutcher hurt him badly, but luckily for him, it was at the end of the fight.

As time goes by and the more I think about it the more I believe the opinion that a wise friend of mine told me after the Tyson - Bonecrusher fight. In that Big Bonecrusher put a bet on himself that he would last the distance.

And maybe that final flurry of his was just to prove to others and maybe himself that that what just maybe "might have been".

Pinklon Tubbs? I think that sums up your knowledge quite nicely, mate.

I'd say deliberate in that you meant to write it.................... but only because you really though such a person existed.

Don't you think you've embarressed yourself sufficiently now to bow out with whatever shred of respect you still have?

No seriously, I put Pinklon Tubbs in there on purpose. I chose 'Pinklon' because it stood out the most. I haven't embarrassed myself 'cause I was winding you all up, I must say I thought you'd have figured me out a lot earlier.

hmmmmmm, after careful consideration I've come to the conclusion that the result would have been the same as if Marvin Hagler had fought Larry Holmes. hmmmmmmm
