The marking comment is a bit stupid in my opinion, some guys just mark up more easily than others, doesn't mean they got hurt more. Some guys you can smash in the face for 12 rounds and they won't even have so much as a scratch while others will start to mark and swell just if they are rubbed down too hard before a fight, varies on the skin type.

As for the tying up, I didn't see much of that with the exception of the final round where it was understandable.

Any idea what ols Shea is up to now? I used to enjoy watching him fight.

No idea. Last I heard he was helping out training amateurs but that was about 3 years ago now. I always remember an offer by Neary's promotors to allegedly for around 15ok for a fight with Hatton. It was laughed at by SN and that was the end of that matter.

Neary was a quality TV fighter to watch, always fighting with his heart on his fist, used to love his fights on ITV. I remember the offer made to Warren to fight Hatton, Shea would of got ripped apart had that been made. His fight with Micky Ward is a great watch, Ward ripped into him with some solid Body shots. Maybe he was looking for a last boxing retirement fund with the Hatton offer.
