Herbie Hide Crusierweight
Whats going on with Herbie?
3 years ago i was looking forward to seeing Danny Williams knocking him out...... he lost on cuts to some unknown (i lost to a bum as Herbie put it) the fight with Danny didn't happen, and he didn't box again at Heavyweight?
I keep hearing rumours that he will return as a cruiserweight. This may be better suited for him as at heavyweight he was small and had a suspect chin.
Does anyone know if he will return?

I dont know if its legal or mental problems or both, but HH always disappears for long periods.
Judging by Williams patchy form/shaky chin the outcome of that fight would have been no foregone conclusion.
Herbies series of comebacks tend to lead nowhere. I don't think he will ever compete on the big stage ever again. Big talker but never goes anywhere.

He's signed a contract with Warriors boxing promoters who hold all the most of the American Heavy's he should be back very soon, he won last month against a clubfighter, he's due to fight before the new year, also a recent boxing website done an interview with him and he seemed like he wants to box, he spoke about alot of things, was a good read.

Mind you, Herbie would just get knocked out the first time they had an argument, he'd get that flip-top head of his split like a melon, and then Ike would probably try and sleep with his corpse.

I remember when he fought an out of shape Riddick Bowe
Herbie was floored by jabs!
I don't remember Klitschko landing brutal shots in that WBO title defeat
And of course there is Joseph Chingangu who beat Herbie in one round in 2001. What an erm.... athlete he was... apart from the huge bulging belly!
Yup maybe hes better suited to cruiserweight. As long as he doesn't fight David Haye of course

David Haye has already been knocked out by a glass jawed, less hard hitting & far more shopworn cruiserweight than Herbie Hide.
Haye over a quick hitter like Hide is no foregone conclusion.
But like i said, none of these fights will ever happen. Hide will chin a few clubfighters off-tv then vanish for another few years.
