CARL FROCH v JEFF LACY

Post by overhand_right »

Froch was taking the piss out of The Man Formally Known As Sicknote for quite a while, but seems to have gone quiet since the Lacy whupping.

Personally never held Froch & his poor mans Roy Jones style very highly, but if Froch wants to get in the mix with JC or Kessler a name like Lacy on his record would be very useful.

Can Froch replicate Calzaghes easy win over Lacy?

My guess is that it would more likely resemble something like Lacy/Robin Reid...

Lacy would destroy Froch. Froch is there to be hit and would be meat and drink for a strong puncher like Lacy.

Yeah agree with that, if nothing else Lacy looks to have a great chin.

Think Lacy would give Froch a bloody hard time. Froch is a lot more static and less versatile than Calzaghe, and doesn't have the hand speed.

Standing there trying to pot-shot Lacy would be a big mistake, I see Lacy walking through some big shots and giving Froch a right hammering.

I think Carl has a pretty good chin, but so did Reid, and look what happened there. I know Froch is fresher, but their styles are actually quite similar, not much in the way of lateral movement, if anything, Reid is a better mover than Carl.

Lacys comeback will be live on Sky (undercard of winky quartey). We'll see the full effects of the Calzaghe beatdown following that fight.
