this will be his fourth title challenge in a row, is there a record anyone knows of for consecutive title shots & wins?

Zoo - 140 IBF
Maussa - 140 WBA
Collazo - 147 WBA
Urango - 140 IBF

Could be the first four title-fight run with every opponent's name ending in a vowl, if he was still with SN they'd be straight on that unique achievement

It's a record only for those who think the proliferation of 'world' titles is a good thing. Andrew Golota just challenged for three 'world' heavyweight titles on the spin.
One man who does deserve a mention is Mexican Marcos Villasana. In the space of five fights, he challenged Azumah Nelson, Jeff Fenech, Antonio Esparragoza and Paul Hodkinson for major versions of the world featherweight title (Hodkinson for the vacant WBC title).

Odd direction Hatton's career has taken of late, hopefully he can get some meaningfull fights after this next one.

Hattons are challenges & Wins tho, Golota lost all 3 shots and I'm not sure how the mexican dude got on but guessing he didn't win 'em all.

Axel Schultz was another who challenged for three titles on the spin.

I agree, its not really an achievement worth shouting about is it.

Actually I think it's rather impressive, as he's winning them all, with the Collazo fight above his natural weight class.
