A Maloney promoted 6'7 Irish heavyweight.

Why am I getting a sense of deja vu?... :o

Belshaw won again last night, another 1st rd KO, and is also down to fight again in a fortnight :o

No scrap of form from the opponents to give an indication of whether Belshaw is going to be the white Herbie Hide / Irish Edwin Valero though. Anyone have any more info on him?

He won his debut in 10 secs, so it is a bit hard to gauge at the moment, but he obviously has a bit of a dig on him.

The Maloneys have said that he's still raw and young, and won't be rushed along, so expect some careful matchmaking at this time,

He is a local lad with good amateur experience, there was a write up on him in the Lisburn Echo and he has good credentials (All Ireland competetions etc) looks like he could be a good find.

I see Belshaw won again on Saturday, 2nd round KO. Looks as if he can punch a bit , his opponent Alexander Subin is limited, but pretty durable.
Hopefully Scott can get a fight on TV so we can see weather he's any good.

Scott certainly has a lot of potential in terms of marketing (can you imagined what the Americans would make of a unbeaten 6'7 white Irish heavyweight puncher fighting in Boston and New York). First opponent was stopped in 10 seconds, second opponent stopped in 70 seconds and his third stopped in the second round. Next fight will be in Scotland in January and all being well, he will start fighting on SKY televised Maloney undercard shows later on in the year. The thing you also have to remember about Scott is he is only 21, which is still only a baby in heavyweight terms, so don't expect him to get rushed. But if he keeps winning, what a fight against Kevin McBride that would make in the future.

In the future? He'd more than likely beat McBride now.

Yeah,a McBride/Belshaw bout sounds mouthwatering :-?

Belshaw is a novice in the pro game and McBride is just shit.

Anyone know of Belshaws amatuer days here?
Did he win any titles, beat anyone of note?
Interested to see what the prospects credentials are.

The all Ireland titles i think he may have won at amateur but don't quote me on that one.
