How can people argue that the domestic scene is dying when there are ten pro cards and the ABAs on one weekend?

By the way, BBN has all of the above covered - a remarkable achievement if I do say so myself.

With Boxing News (which I still subscribe to, of course) missing UK bits here and there, despite what some people think this weekend marks a shift in media coverage of British boxing.

It's just a shame that the TV coverage will be almost non-existent.

And it's not just this weekend, it's a good month for British boxing. Lots of shows, good competitive (on the face of it) matches, and some of our biggest names, and brightest prospects in action. Lots of positives leading up to christmas.

Ludicrous, isn’t it?

An English title fight, a battle between two of the best middleweights in the Midlands (of course, Macca is up there) and, indeed, the Country and its not on Sky?

Ridiculous.

Anyone set up a dedicated internet boxing channel yet? In theory it wouldnt be that hard, though of course there'd be copyright issues with broadcasting old fights.

There is a good domestic scene out there, it's just making the effort to find out where the good value shows are and go.

Well I'm not going to moan at Sky for showing Juan Manual Marquez tonight, but it is a shame Bendall v Elcock is not being shown by someone. Couldn't channel Five pick this up like they did with Haymer v McKenzie?

It's a fight fit to top any bill in the UK. Sky won't be able to ignore Ken Purchase's promotions for long if this is the standard we can expect.

Elcock V Bendall promises to be a good fight at the Villa tonight, shame i'm not in Wolves anymore or i would go along. I'm backing Wayne by stoppage in 8 rounds after a tear up!

A strong domestic scene from that list but its no good if its not being made available to the people besides the ones in the arena. TV gets the whole country talking about fighters. So annoying sometimes when quality fights are being missed.

Ken Purchase should sell a copy of the bill on DVD on Ebay..... I really cannot see why this isn't done. You can get the disc copy right protected to avoid multiple copies.

Most promoters get their show taped, cannot understand why they don't use Ebay. Very little overhead.

I would be buying many.

Spot on Stu. I know Ken was selling DVDs of the bill at the show. Contact him on 01952 250950 and I am sure he will sell yourself and anyone else interested a copy.

Its a show well worth getting hold of: a Pele Reid one punch KO, Elcock victorious in an 8 round scrap (Steve you should become a tipster mate - your prediction was spot on!) & 4 rounder between unbeaten novices that saw nobbins shower the ring - all in all an excellent show!

Tom, nice to finally meet you as well mate - keep up the good work covering boxing in the Mids and I hope to see you at a show again soon

That bill at Aston Villa showed why Birmingham can be such a great fight city - sold out, vociferous crowd with atmosphere to burn.

Well done to Ringside Promotions - I look forward to next time.

Cheers Terry...it's not often i get one right although i must be getting better, winning the last but one predictions league was my crowning moment
