The adverts were much easier to aviod when they were at the top of the page. Now you can't help but read them. Octopus vs Shark? Who's going to be interested in crap like that. It's just a waste of time. I hope to God it's not going to be permanent.

Its the same ads that used to appear along the top.

At the end of the day this place is free it doesn't hurt anyone just skip past them.

True Nick...but hope it's not the start of a slippery slope. I actually don't visit a lot of sites now because several words are underlined and if your mouse happens to go on one you get a bloody info box...or countless pop ups.

This place needs to raise revenue, of course, don't we all, but have a look on Doghouse or somewhere and that's what I mean.

Are you mad? What about the huge reach advantage of the octopus?

He's really goiong for the post count record - he might overtake James.

I'm just getting a blank message, no advert at all. I hope John Shep can answer this thread.

I do agree with Ian, but as long as it stays like this (with a blank message) then it isn't that much of a problem.... but I hope it isn't perminant (or gets worse).

I have no doubt John is running this advertising in order to afford us all a trip to the De la Hoya-Mayweather fight next year. Very kind of him I reckon.

Boxrec forum is going through a software upgrade.

Some things are being tried out and tested etc etc.

I will pass all your comments onto the great gods of Boxrec.

I hope this message helps. :box:

I've changed the format and the adverts, both the animated and the noisy ads have gone and have been replaced with more sedate inline adverts. I think it's an improvement overall.
