Nah, I still think Quartey vs Wright is a good one. Judging by their last performances I think Quartey is the fresher of the two..... Wright is the better boxer, but I think is in decline. He was ill vs Solimiman but fine vs Taylor.... he boxed well, but was tiring badly from the mid point.
The more hype this fight is getting, the more interested I am in it. A battle of the jabs and I'm not sure whose' better.
Favour Wright to be too strong, but he's not a massive puncher and that seems to be the main weakness with Quartey (punch resistance).

Well, the old points win for Wright, no surprises there then.
I was quite impressed by just how much Quartey had left, he really seemed to make an argument of it at times. It's going to be tough for him up at middle though, or even at light middle, but if he can still make welter he could have a little bit of a say in that division. There are definately good, interesting fights left for him, wherever he decides to box.
I also thought that he was a little hard done by with the knockdowns. The second was an awful call, and the first appeared to me to be a tangle of legs. Quartey didn't deserve to lose the fight by such wide margins.

Very predictable night of boxing on Sky. Lacy as expected, simply isn't world class. He is one dimensional and struggled with a guy I felt Brian Magee should have been given the decision against. The result wasn't a robbery but it could have gone either way. I think Froch beats Lacy without too much difficulty.
The Wright fight had some decent action in it, but with Winky starting well and the knockdowns going against Ike, this was never going to be competitive on the scorecards. Would have loved to have seen the Cotto fight, sounds like he can become a real force at Welterweight.

I was quite impressed by both Quartey and Wright. Wright looked a lot fresher in this fight than he did for his previous others and I think Quartey probably showed himself to be the best non champion Light Middleweight out there.
Hope he gets his shot soon, or maybe a big money fight with Mosley.
I favour Wright in a rematch with Taylor and I'd favour Quartey over most of the Light Middleweight champions.

It was a classic big man little man fight. Quartey looked to be equal technically to Wright. Did some lovely work over te first half. But Wright was just too big, strong, and fresh (Wright had 97 competitive rounds while Quartey was retired). Quartey had to work so hard just to make an impact, whereas Winky drew the sting from him then put him in his place. I had WW winning 8 rounds to 4, but obviously with an extra point for the legit KD.
Was very impressed by the way Winky paced the fight.
Quartey gave him a few troubles, because of how compact he was. One of the few ppl to penetrate the WW guard with a measure of success.
