Record Update

Post by Prize Fight »

To Whom It May Concern,

I am a promoter with Prize Fight Promotions and am trying to get Heavyweight Ray Lunsford's record updated. He is currently listed on your sight has being 8-2. I have newspaper articles that show 7 other victories that your site has not given Ray credit for. His actual record is 15-2. Please let me know where to send these articles to in order to get Ray's record updated. Thank you for your help.

I have updated Ray's record to 15-2. Are the other two TN bouts in Memphis?

Editor,

Thank you for your prompt reply and update. The other TN bouts were in Memphis at the New Daisy Theatre. Once again, thank you.

His last fight was reported as a 4-round and as a 6-round points win for Lunsford. Which is correct?

His last fight was June 23rd at Sam's Town Casino in Tunica, MS. He defeated Elvin Evans of Memphis in a unaminous 6 round decision. He is fighting again Saturday at Sam's Town in a swing bout on the J.C. Candelo ESPN show.

Were all the other Memphis bouts at the New Daisy? Any other information you could supply would be appreciated.

Sorry I did not post back sooner. thank you for the well wishes on the fight as well. Ray did well, winning with a 1st round KO due to Rodney Phillips getting his ribs seperated by Ray. The rest of the card was exciting as well. The most exciting to me may have been new comer Derrick Wilson (remember that name). Wilson whipped the previously undefeated Saak Saakyan with a barrage of heavy shots and finished him with a deadly right in the 1st round. Here are Ray's vitals:
