Castillo-Corrales I - that was an all out brutal war. As was Ward-Gatti, but I give the edge to my vote. Good choices though :TU:

For sheer battle I'll take Ward against Emmanuel Augustus Burton. Over two thousand punches in ten rounds of non stop action and pure heart.

at 140 pounds, that should be added.. :TU:

corrales vs castillo will get more votes imo due to the knockdowns, and turn around ko. but all these fights were great battles. i guess ill pick gatti ward, they got no votes yet and they do desirve some..

but then again, they all do. :box:

All these fights were awesome but my personal vote goes for the Corales vs Castillo. This was a real war of attrition that could have gone either way. That 10th round was the most unbeliviable round Ive ever seen. Its one thing to recover from one knockdown but Corrales came up from two then did something that had not been done before. That might never be duplicated ever. :o

One of my favourites not on the list was always Trinidad vs Mayorga. That was really exciting and a savage fight. Nice to have Tit back...for a bit

Happened right in my neck of the woods and your right it was amazing. Too bad Portsmouth NH has not hosted a fight since that time.

I went for Morales vs Barrera I. It might not have had the most damaging shots, or the most punches, or the biggest display of a fighter's heart, but it had a little bit of everything. Not only was it a brutal back and forth competitive bout, but it managed to remain an intelligent fight with awesome technical skills and punching technique from both sides. Both fighters were the best at their weight, and they showed that night why. Not to mention, it revived my faith in boxing.

Definately Corrales/Castillo I, it got me back hardcore into boxing. Round 10 is definately one of the best in twenty years. Not only that they were both two top tier lightweights and they just went at it.

Funny stuff. On a side note though, I think Castillo vs Corrales is comparable to Monshipour vs Sithchatchawal. Personally, I haven't had the chance to see Monshipour vs Sithchatchawal, (although from what i've heard, it was a hell of a fight) but Castillo vs Corrales is also one of the best fights i've seen in quite some time.
