He'd still have a decent size advantage at 130 and somewhat at 135. He weighs 146 on fight night, thats more than Corrales was at 130. Don't forget hes a physical beast with low bodyfat. Harrison is never going to be the material to be king of a division but at 130-135 he should be able to ebat some top10 opponents and grab a trinket. Aslong as he takes on fighters who'll stand in front of him and go toe-toe he is in with a shot.silkov wrote:He doesnt want to move up because he'd lose his size advantage and without that he's just an average fighter... he'll never do anything at 130 or 135 and I doubt he'll fight again for a long time if ever...
I also think Harrison is better than Juarez who gave Barrera problems. Barrera may be ripe for the taking at this stage in his career. A Pacman fight may sound like a foregone conclusion but the fact that Pacman would brawl with Harrison gives the Scot a shot at winning.
I think you rate Harrison far too high, all he's had going for him his last few fights is his extra size and strength, his technique has been sliding for years now, since the first Medina fight... even a faded Barrera would dismantle him and I very much doubt he will ever get that fight or any other big fights now... about the only big fight I could see happening is Harrison vs Arthur and after all thats gone on I'd go for Arthur in that...
Scott hasnt fought for over a year and may well be out for much longer if he goes to jail, the chances are if he ever does get back into the ring he'll be seriously deteriorated and will get bashed up by the first decent opponent he faces....

Lets have Cook v Asiku !
If Action Jackson Asiku is ready Nicky Cook could box him for intrem title maybe?
Amir Khan's fight has been made for the IBF intercontinental light welterweight belt...
Does this get around allegedly advisting a card of world championship boxing???
The whole thing leaves a disgusting taste in the mouth, the Harrison's, Hughes and Warren should have made an apology by now (in Frankies case just something on his website would be a start!)

Obviously a cynical and feeble attempt to keep the headline bill as world championship boxing before people ask for their money back.

They (Ticketmaster or SN, I'm not sure) are always incredibly slow to react.

This is disgraceful, people have paid hard earned cash to go to this fight first Skelton pulls out fair enough he was injured but Scott Harrison makes my blood boil he was never going to make weight should of done the honourable thing when he realised. I got a ticket for his fight in Belfast in May and he didn't fight. It's robbing the public.
