All the sanctioning bodies need investigating. It's not as if the IBF is alone in this kind of thing.

Amir Khan is one of the reasons that amatuer boxing clubs are getting busier, he's an excellent role model for youngsters as well.

You used to really like Amir when you were on ESB Emma, what happened? And where did the beating up girls come from I never heard that? Surely thats a step up in level of opposition that the lad should be commended for.

You used to really like Amir when you were on ESB Emma, what happened? And where did the beating up girls come from I never heard that? Surely thats a step up in level of opposition that the lad should be commended for.

I wonder whether it is also to meet the terms specified in his agreement for the ITV contract for this particular show. If they are advertising it on their schedules as world championship boxing, and there's no world title fight, then it's surely false advertising on their part.

An IBF intercontinental belt is stretching the credulity of the term world title showdown however.

These belts are a farce.

Its the British mentality. We don't handle being winners very well, so don't support them. We're more comfortable supporting plucky losers like Tim Henman or Tony Dodson.

I hate the Khan media hype machine, his pathetic opponents and any untested teenager telling everyone he can be champ in a year when his own camp wont let him near anyone even on the British scene.

I also hate the millions of Khan fans who know absolutely f#ck all about boxing and try tell me how good he is in bars and pubs.

I will love it when some broke hardened journeyman takes his head off & exposes this amateur for what he really is.

He had the same belt and was fighting regularly on high profile German cards beating up recognisable names like Ed Mahone and Cisse Salif and his IBF Intercontinental belt couldn't even get him in their own top 12! What a rip off!

Complete waste of money and excludes you from the WBA and WBC rankings.

People watched Audley Harrison fight Hersisia, Jules, and Tomas Bonin thinking these drab slogs were WORLD title fights.

Terrestrial TV need some boss running the boxing coverage who really knows his sh#t, and wont accept these nonsense title fights that do not benefit boxings image at all.

Seem to recall that Barry McGuigan, Lloyd Honeyghan, Nigel Benn, John Conteh and Hamed and Eubank were all popular.

I think what is turning people off Khan is the fact that his early fights are being given big billing, and even ending up as star billing. Every fighter needs to learn the ropes, but unfortunately, the public are witnessing the early career fights which don't exactly make for thrilling viewing.
