Moore is a class above Alexander right now, the variety and timing of his punches that he's shown in his last six bouts would be too much for Alexander. I would like to see Moore face Bradley Pryce next, that makes a great fight, I think Moore would stop him in five rounds, then go and test that punching power at world level versus Piccirillo (after he beats Jones) If he can beat him then he should be ranked high enough to be in contention for a WBC or WBO title shot and earn the money he deserves.
I'm sure Wayne will bounce back. That has happened before - a routine assignment suddenly becomes more than u bargained for. The guy must've just caught Wayne by surprise. I'll ask him what happened later.

I think it would be a better idea to keep his chin DOWN in future, considering it's made of paper.
Wayne just called me.
Obviously he feels a little embarassed at the loss but says he completely under-estimated the guy. He expected to go out there and bomb they guy out BUT got caught cold with a punch he didn’t see.
He is very philosophical about the whole thing and is keen to get back in the ring as soon as possible to get back on the road to the WBO title shot which he still feels he can win.
Regarding Jamie Moore, Wayne says he has a lot of respect for him and says he is one of the top guys in Europe and a fight between them for Waynes old title may happen sooner rather than later after Saturday night
Despite the fact can be stopped and beaten by the less fancied foes, this has still come as a shock to me.
Anyway, of course he can bounce back. He may not have the hardest chin but he will still have one of the hardest digs out there, so there's always a route back for Wayne and no doubt, after this result the opposition will be feeling a lot braver than usual.
Saw the butchered ITV clip of it last night ( they can't fit a 60 second fight into their schedule?? ) but it looked an early stopage by a panicked ref. Wayne got up and was on the ropes, but not taking punishment when the ref dived in.

I thought so aswell, no major complaint from Wayne at the time though.
