Jaimie Moore, world title fight?

Post by stujones »

Pure speculation here, but I was scanning around the various bookies and some have already got Odds for Sports Personality of the Year 2007.

Jamie Moore's odds were only 34/1, I think he is the fourth highest boxer on the list. Only Calzaghe, Hatton and Khan above. His odds are better than the likes of Audley, Alex Arthur, David Haye, Skelton, Scott Harrison etc.

Its not often the bookies get their predictions wrong so it would appear that expect Moore to get a great opportunity in 2007. His odds will obviously fluctuate on whether he is successful.

I'm just speculating here, does anyone "in the know" heard if something big is in the pipeline for Moore.

He's unranked by the WBA and IBF, and only just scrapes the top 15 with the WBO and WBC, but I'd totally agree that those odds are pretty bizarre unless something big is going to happen for him next year.

He's just getting back from shoulder surgery, he'll have a walk-out in 9,10 weeks then he's looking at a big fight later in the year.

I think we have to be realistic. Moore is good at the level he fights at. I haven't seen any signs of him being world class. What's the point setting him up for a one sided beating at the hands of someone like Dzinziruk or Rivera?

I'm not so sure the likes of Rivera or Simms are a level above Moore. Dzinziruk, Spinks are yes.

No offence to Jamie Moore but my gran has about as much chance of getting sports personality of the year as he does.

I honestly think he could fight the winner of De La Hoya-PBF, thrash them and he still wouldn't win it.

WTF?

My signature is back from nowhere like a great dream from the purple rabbit in the sky.

Am I tripping?

I might be, I only had 2 Stellas after work though...
