Can Audley win a world title?

It's worth bearing in mind, that Danny Williams has ALWAYS been easy to hurt. Keith Long and Sprott wobbled him in fights, Samil Sam had him all over the place. He has a big heart, but he's always been easy to hurt, so it's easy to overemphasise Audley's punch power based on that performance. Christ, Danny was hurt with the first meaningful punch Audley landed, and was wobbled by Klitchsko's jab and pretty much every subsequent punch that landed flush.

Very dangerous to assume Audley's punches would have the same effect on other heavyweights.

I agree with this, I've thought for some time that Danny Williams looks extremely vulnarable when anyone opens up with a flurry. I remember watching one fight a while back against (I did just look this up) N'Gou Augustin and in the 1st round he was all at sea against the ropes and this guy wasn't much more than a pub fighter.

It's always been a weird thing with Williams I don't think he ever was all that good really, just showed a few decent moves every now and then and people got excited.

Back to the point of the thread I don't think Audley wins a world title against any of the current crop of 'champions', he needs to show more than just last Saturday because 1 - It was hardly a win over a top world ranked contender and 2 - The damage of the rest of his career far outweighs any good he might have done at the weekend, it went a little way to eradicating the memory but not much.
