Eastman pulling away, too smart. Both are fairly tired in round 10 but the pace has affected Williams more. Richard missing with alot of his big shots. Round 10 finished and Eastman is winning by about 7/3

Eastman is avoiding most of Williams single big rights and left hooks fairly easy. Big right hand drops Williams!

All over, Eastman KO 12!

Eastman stepped back and the same old right counter landed but this time Williams just slowly sagged to the floor, pretty repetitive fight with Eastman doing enough to pick up rounds, suprised Williams got stopped in last minute though by the same shots he was taking throughout the fight, Williams was just exhausted.

:D I was a bit nervous, I had £100 on Eastman (luckily not on points)...sorry but didn't want to score the first six rounds because the action wasn't very clean :D

good display from eastman, proves he is still hungry, richard williams is no mug, and he will come again..

howard showed so much ring savvy it was unbelievable, kept his power well till the later rounds too.

all in all i was impressed with howard.

I disagree that Williams will come again. This was his last chance saloon and he got beat and it was no where near as close as we thought it would be. Richard spent too much time inactive in his career and I think he's a about 35 now as well. I think the ship has well and truly sailed. I wish him all the best. He always seemed like a class guy. :TU:

Poor old DG - he was last seen heading for a bridge...

Williams put on a good show in the early rounds and did land a few decent shots, but Eastman is just too experienced... This was one of Williams biggest fights, but was a normal day at the office for Eastman - this seemed to show in the later rounds when Williams looked tired.

I think that Williams would give anyone else in the UK a good go...

You understand what it is like to want someone to do well?.

I wanted RW to win anf I though it was 50/50 going into the 6th...

Howard's experoence told in the end...

RW did not lose any standing in the Sport last night. He gained imo and he would spank all the other Midles in here..

I predict Eastman drops the belt and Williams Vs Elcock happens by the Summer...

Of course I understand what it is like to want someone to do well. It's obvious that you are friends with Williams, but I do think that your view is blinded by your friendship..

If Eastman does drop the British what will he go for? Will he get a shot at the European or just bugger off on holiday??? Do you know something that we don't?

Williams - Elcock would be interesting. I'd also like to see Williams fight Lockett -

Elcock will have been watching this contest with interest but Eastman winning is a tough one for Wayne.

Eastman's size, experience, cunning and ability are going to be dificult to overcome. It didnt look to me last night as though Eastman is done quite yet..

Judging from his interview Eastman still holds aspirations on the World scene, so I don't reckon he'll defend the British title. Elcock-Williams for the vacant title would do the job though

Not at all mate - I have watched so many RW fights over and over again to KNOW he is techincally very skilled.

It is easy to be blinded though - but in Boxing there is no room for false words.

I believed this to be a 50/50 fight going in and during the fight ( up to the 7th ) Willliams justified that belief and held his won.

The latter stage of the fight RW was getting tired because Howard leaned on and basicaly took a lot of steam out nof him..

Despit elosing the fight - RW enhanced his rep and hopefuly he gets mnore opportunites. I do not think Howard keeps the belt an I would be surprised if RW was not still ranked at the position he had BEFORE the Estman fight.

Williams Vs Elcock for the Vcant Title imo.

Howard just wanted the win and he got it and he drops the belt, imo.

Of the current 11st 6lb fighters in the world only Winky has the experience to match Howard.

RW lost nothing in defeat because he performed well and got good exposure.

IF HOWARD DROPS THE BELT.

Lets see if it is Williams Vs Elcock for the Vacant1

Williams v Elcock!?!?!? Bullshit!!

What is the fascination with Elcock? He has had his chances, and come up short, why should he be given another chance ahead of less exposed fighters????

Lockett is far more deserved (and avoided), and would slap RW into retirement!!

Fecking Elcock!?!?!?

Lockett?.

He had a great chin - but even that is going. Michael Monaghan outboxed his arse.

Elcock might get stoppped by Lockett - but Lockett is WBU and that is where he stays.

Williams busts up Lockett in 7.
