JOLLY BOYS 2006 RESULTS

Robin White W v Mark Phillips 40-37 pts - Robin showed good composure on his debut and totally dominated the contest using his long reach to dominate the fight behind the jab.Stepped up in the last 2 rounds to hurt the game challenger on a couple of occasions and showed the potential that could take him all the way.

Chris Johnson W v Geraint Harvey 58-57 pts - Chris started the contest hesitantly - which was not a surprise as he was coming off a debut KO loss - and lost the first few rounds. However he settled into the fight and increased his work rate to come back and win the last few rounds big ,which just saw him edge home for his first Pro victory.

James Brown L v John Baguely 56-57 pts - Best fight of the day with these 2 featherweights standing toe to toe for 6 rounds just smashing lumps out of each other, as boxing skills were left at home for XMAS. James was probably nicking the fight but a fourth round knockdown gave Baguely an 10-8 round which turned the scorecards to him .A draw would have been fair to both fighters and this is sure to be a cracking rematch.

Craig Bunn W v Shaun Falmer 59-56 pts - 19 year old prospect Bunn showed why manager Steve Wood rates the kid so highly. From the start Craig was throwing quality shots with a great range of variety and assorted combinations which kept the strong Falmer at bay. The Liverpudlian challenger was certainly game and kept marching forward but he lacked the ability to threaten the classy Bunn who once he develops his man strength will surely start to put some KOs onto his CV.

MATT MACKLIN - Alonside Amer Khan was a top table guest and sat next to Jamie Moore during the meal watching a replay of their cracking British title fight which is a certainty for fight of the year.Although he was again on away territory and sat with over 900 of 'Mooresy' fans he received a great reception from the fight fans and appreciated the standing ovation the pair got at the end TV coverage.

ALI NUUMBEMBE - Finally gets his chance to fulfil his dreams and become a champion when he challenges Kevin Anderson for the Commonwealth title on a Matchroom promotion in Scotland on the 16th February 2007.

VIP WISH EVERYONE A GREAT XMAS AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR
