Thanx Blue!
Chavez Brothers win!
WBC Youth welterweight champion Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. (29-0-1, 22 KOs) scored a one-sided ten round decision over Christian Solano (19-11-4) on a marathon fight card that ended at sunrise at the Plaza de Toros La Sinaloense in Culiacan, Sinaloa, Mexico. It was a frustrating fight Chavez as Solano continually clinched. Junior, however, fought a patient fight, breaking down Solano enough to drop him in round eight en route to the unanimous nod. In another bout, Omar Chavez (1-0), another son of three division world champion Julio Cesar Chavez, needed less that two minutes to crush Pablo "Tilico" Garcia in his pro debut. Julio Senior was on hand to shout encouragement to both his boys.

In the co-main, WBC #4 super welterweight Saul Roman (26-2, 23 KOs) scored a seventh round knockout over Roy Sanchez (15-13-2). The bout ended at 1:57 of the seventh after Sanchez was decked for the third time in the round. Roman said he is now ready to face #3 Vernon Forrest in a WBC eliminator in March. Also, unbeaten flyweight Manuel Esquer (18-0-1, 14 KOs) got the first blemish on his record after a draw with Jesus Iribe (6-3-3).
