Freddie "Fearless" Pendleton comeback???

Post by DREAMBOY »

How far do u think Pendleton would go making a comeback on the 140lbs division. He was going to fight DeMarcus Corley but the fight fell. What & how u would feel to see him fight. We all saw him get killed by Hatton back in 2001 but now the 45 year old wants a big fight.

Is this a joke, is Pendleton really thinking of coming back? He was only hanging around for a payday back in 2001, he would have to be out of his mind to think that at 45 he's going to be able to compete in the 140 lb division.

I think Mr. DREAMBOY loves the guy. If I'm correct, this isnt the 1st thread he's created about him.

He was training with Ronnie Shields for a few weeks and they kicked him out of they gym. Too out of shape and same bad habits...

This could be an awful comeback. He had little left when he fought Hatton, and that was a long, long time ago now. Any fighter on that list of yours would walk right through Pendleton now. Maybe I'd even back Malignaggi to force a stoppage.

Pendleton loses badly to all 16 of those guys. Gotta love Freddie for what he's given to boxing but enough is enough.

Agreed Mr Monkey,

I think we could see Pendleton win 2 or 3 very low-key comeback fights, but lets be honest - the first decent prospect or name fighter he faces will knock him out and he will go back into retirement. He is 43, so maybe a couple of years left to get it finally out of his system, but he isn't a Joe Bugner-type who can fight competitively into his late 40's - and I think aftre a couple of 8-rounders he will know this himself and accept a final crunching loss for a nice little payday.

best wishes
