Dave Walker is returning at welterweight, will be good to see him back again. Always gave value for money but was boxing to heavy. he turned pro at a welter but went up. He would have been a force if he stayed at welter. Lets hope he can re capture that

Silly move. Should never have moved up in the first place, but it's far too late to try and resume his career now.

He lacked the discipline to make welter in his pomp and now, after several hard wars, I would like to see him stay retired.

Great value entertaining fighter but he could be in for a lot more head shots at welter..

As long as he isn't thrown in to deep to soon at Welter.
I'd like to see him get 3/4 fight in quite q quick time at mid-level to see what he's got.
Always liked David, and its his decision, so good luck to him.

I'm chuffed the fella is coming back.

Walker versus Anderson, Nuumbembe etc - all good clashes.

Entertaining, heart on his sleeve lad.

Ali and Ando would muller poor Wlaker all the way back to Bermondsey.

He is fairly limited and likes a tear up far too much for his own good.

He wont get past Southern Area level once again.

im with daqvid payne on this one, providing david walker lives the life and trains hard he can make welter and possibly have a say on the domestic front, yes he takes too many shots but he does have the equaliser, to get him out of trouble...

Good post - but I think David just loves boxing and I can relate to that. But yes, he has never been shy of taking a headshot.........

Shame Walker didn't have the out of ring dedication to stay at welter. His fight with Vincent was a classic (my favorite Walker fight) and there was no need to move up in weight after that.

Don't think he'll be able to beat any of the top guys and can only see him getting beaten up more. Lets face it fight like that and you're only ever going to have a short career

I can assure you that David is very serious about this, is and will be living the life and will be fighting at Welter, he's not left himself get out of physical shape over the last year or so. As for manager and trainer you'll find out soon, but I think you will be pleasantly surprised....

Sorry, but I can't think of a single element of a Walker comeback that would leave me pleasantly surprised. Sooner or later it's got car crash written all over it.

He was an entertaining fighter, but not so sure about a comeback?! He should forget about an Anderson bout, Kev would burst him fairly easily IMO.
