What happened to "knockouts of 2006"?

Post by black panther »

Sky usually do a yearly program called knockouts of whatever year. But can't seem to see it on their schedule this year. THey are still doing the"fights of 2006" which is highlights of the best fights of 2006 which is always pretty good.

Yes not on the schedule. Looks like its not to be for this year. If it was, Moore-Macklin would have to be No. 1 knockout of the year. Sickening as it was.

Its already been demoted to a 30 minute show last year (used to be an hour). Perhaps its not entirely Sky's fault, I cannot think of many great KO's on Sky this year.

Macklin vs Moore
Samuels vs Barker
Jason Litzau's KO defeat last week.

Thats all I can remember.

Monday, 'Boxing Special', it is on for two hours and they advertise Hatton-Collazo, Paccers-Morales, Muttley-Anderson and others.
That's a different program. Every year SKY have always done a separate Knockouts Of 200? program.

Just an aside 'cos I've never got a good word for him but Buffer's ring intro really impressed me for that fight -- it was like he actually bothered to find out how to pronounce Looknongyangtoy in a passable phonetic way, instead of just stumbling all over the English transliteration (can't be a translation, not a Romanic alphabetic system so we have to "make up" syllables which stand in for the Thai).

Ahem, I'll get me (pedantic) coat...
