The following fights should be on March 8, 1975 on the same card as Bobby Casidy and Walter Seely wins.
I am positve that Carlos Espada also fought on this card agaisnt another Long Islnder (Pat Barry?? Barry something??)
Also, on the same card Wayne Kelly won by knockout -- maybe somebody can figure out the opponet and add. I can't edit on Boxrec right now becasue of tech difficutlies
Mar 1, 1975 Commack, New York
John Capobianco W Barry Hill PTS 6 0
Ray Elson W Ned Edwards PTS 8 8
Ray Elson wrong date
Thanks Wouter -- this was the first pro card I ever attended and recall it well.
Funny, I was going to mention PLEASE don't use the 1977 Ring Record book as it is full of bogus fights, then I notice that the same day as the 3/8/75 card is a Biff Cline fight!! Biff's padded record brought down the ABC Tournament and the credibility of Ring Magazine -- yet we reprint all that stuff here!!!!! NO FIGHTS FOR BIFF CLINE SHOULD BE ENTERED WITHOUT CONTEMPORANEUOS NEWSPAPER SUPPRT.
I know the Ring Magazine ran a full report on the card -- and I have a great photo of Wayne Kelly knocking out his opponent -- Artur Mercante Sr was the referee.
Two quotes from that night --
To Ned Edwards, who was taking a beating from Elson -- "Hit him with your asshole Ned!"
Espada's wife, over and over "No te precupes! Carlos no go down!"
