The Irish Amateur Boxing Association were celebrating the double after Katie Taylor and Ken Egan scooped the World and European boxers of 2006 awards voted by members of the International Boxing Forum http://www.ababoxing.com/forum

Womens World
1st Katie Taylor (IRL) Joint 2nd Aya Cissoko (FRA) & Yum Kum Ju (PRK)

Mens European
1st Kennet Egan (IRL) 2nd Alexey Tischenko (RUS) 3rd Boris Georgiev (BUL)

It aint serious. Egan isn't even the best in his weightclass. Tishenko gets my vote

I also voted for Alexey Tischenko, i think it was due to the large ammount of new Irish members that joined the forum.

I do think that Katie Taylor deserves to be the best female boxer in the world.

Then like you said it aint serious.
