One thought that occured to me whilst watching it was that there are probably thousands if not millions of people in a similar situation with brain inuries caused by car accidents, serious falls, etc.
The fact is prior to the Benn fight, Gerald was doing what he freely chose to do and was expressing himself in the form he freely chose. . . boxing.
There are risks in boxing that might not necessarily exist in other sports but life is risk and these people that want boxing banned because it's dangerous etc. IMO simply want to control other people's will and choice to freely express themselves.
