BERRY BUTLER IS A LIGHT HEAVYWEIGHT!!!

Post by professor »

I noticed today that Berry Butler, who has been moving steadily up the Light Heavyweight rankings and was ranked 14th as of yesterday, has now been moved to the Cruiserweight rankings? He has worked hard to come in at or near 175 on a regular basis in his last 10 fights, and he is very upset that he has been moved. This is very disruptive to his cause, trying to break into the top ten at 175. We would appreciate if you could put him back at Light Heavyweight. I understand that he came in at 175 and a quarter pounds for his last fight, but that should be acceptable. Please change it back, Berry has won 10 in a row and is gunning for the Champions.

I noticed that William Joppy, who weighed 176 for his last fight, is now ranked at 175? If this is the case, then Berry Butler should be put back at 175 as well! You cannot have bias towards one fighter over another, you lose all credibility! Looks like someone is over-stepping their influence for whatever reason. These ranking should be unbiased, and if Berry was moved up in the rankings in the last week, why all of a sudden was he put at Cruiserweight??? Please explain this to me! If it was an honest mistake, I hope it is corrected. This is VERY important to Berry Butler. I work for him, so this is important to me to.

How bout matching him up with the 37 yr old Keith Holmes who at least is ranked 8th by the WBA?

Berry will fight anyone in the top ten. He has fought solid opposition in his last few fights, including undefeated Corey Cummings in his hometown. He is fighting in the IBA LH Tournament in Hallandale, Fla. and after he wins that he will be going for the major titles. He is a puncher and has underrated boxing skills, but the more TV exposure he gets the better. He is exciting, ask anyone who has seen him live. Keith Holmes doesn't want any part of Berry Butler, although I believe someone is trying to make that fight happen. Butler beat Cummings, and Cummings was ranked # 9 in the WBO at the time. This should have put Berry in the Top Ten, in my opinion. But because Berry does not have a promoter, he does not get his just due. It is politics, same as always. Berry does not take easy fights, he is not trying to pad his record. He has won 10 in a row, why fight an easy fight just to add another win? Real boxing people know that method is bogus, it looks good on paper, but it does nothing for the fighter's skill level. Give us real fights!!
