Thought this might be fun. We have been talking about heavyweights a lot lately and we don't talk about this weight class much.
Personally, I know less about this weight class than the higher weight classes so I would appreciate any comments explaining why this guy is way too high or this guy is way too low. If someone who should be in the top 50 isn't, state who you think should get kicked out to make room for him.

All-Time Top 50 Bantamweights
Nice list Alp.
Id push Joe Lynch up there higher,he beat Pete herman and some others.
He was a great fighter.
I might throw Chucho Castillo in there also as he stopped Olivares .
Charley Phil Rosenberg was a solid fighter too.
I might also throw him in there .Towards the bottom though.
Overall its a solid list in my opinion.
Ya spent some time on this.

bantam's
Well done Ambling Alp. I am a fan of the bantam weight division. Many think that the lower weight divisions lack punchers. I find this to be true, with the exception of bantam weights. For whatever reason bantam weights have had some greatest pound per pound punchers.

Expug- you certainly could put rosenberg and Castillo in there. they were two of the last guys that I had to cut. there were so many borderline calls. Lynch could probably be higher as well, though I was a little suprised by the poll that Ric mentioned that had him at #11. However, maybe I just am missing something with him.
pound for pound - you make an interesting point about the hard hitters. It always seems that the lower you go in weight classes, the lighter the punchers, until you get down to the bantamweights.
I have never really done a study on this, but it always seemed that the knockout %'s generally go down the lower the weight class. However, once you get to bantamweight, there are several who have high ko %'s.
Have any of you guys seen much of of Alan Rudkin? He seemed to come along at the wrong time and lost to some really good fighters (though he also had some nice wins) How good do you think he was?
