Why if someone doesn't like Duran it must be a Puerto Rican? I think you are out of line with a comment like that. That is his opinion and a valid one at that. He has a point, why don't you debate the point instead of instigating hate? I'm Puerto Rican and I always supported Duran and many other fighters that are not even hispanics. However, the most annoying thing has to be when they refer to him as an overblown lightweight when he accomplished his great feats above 135lb.
Like i mentioned in another post, Duran hadnt been a lightweight for at least two years and around 8 fights before he faced Leonard the first time. He wouldnt have made 135lbs if he tried.
And it wouldn’t be that farfetched to think that Mayweather could defeat Duran. First Duran did have problems with fast fighters (De Jesus, Leonard and Benitez). I definitely would favor Duran to win this fight, but Mayweather is a very dangerous opponent for Duran because of his defense and speed.
