The Irish Duo Triumph at The Plex Again!

January 25th 2007 (Las Vegas, Nevada) - - Tonight the Irish duo, Shane “the Irish Hitman” Benfield and Josh “Shamrock Slinger” Green did what they do best, win boxing events.

Shane came out in a stylish fashion as he faced Karl Willis. Shane is always looking for the perfect knockout punch and he found it early in the fourth round. Willis hit the canvas with 2:59 remaining and stayed down.

Jim Kelley stated that, “Shane came out ready to go. I have never seen anyone look so ready for a fight in my life. This just shows how much of a boxing powerhouse “the Irish Hitman” can be.”

Josh Green and James Johnson gave the Plex the best match of the night. This fight went the distance. Excitement filled the boxing arena as hard blows went back and fourth the entire fight between the two gladiators. Green won the crowd over, as well as the judges. Josh won a unanimous decision when the sixth and final round came to an end.

Jim Kelley stated, “Josh has true potential! These past two weeks have been rough on him. He has proven that he has what every fighter need to have in order to win great fights and that is heart. He gave the audience exactly what they were looking for and that is the fight of the year! I’m truly proud of him.”

This Irish Duo bring more than pure talent to the ring. They bring heart, charisma and total excitement! These two are definitely going to see bigger fights before their careers come to a close. Josh seems to have a lot of talent for the young age of nineteen and a pair of the quickest hands in boxing. It will be great to follow both fighters and see them progress over time…
