These are the all-weight, all-time rankings according to the Boxrec ratings system. I figured this would be a good place to start if one were to compile a list of the greatest fighters.
I apologise if someone has already done this, but I did not see anything similar in a search.
Name Points Weight
1 M. Ali 3676 HW
2 T Gibbons 3471 LHW
3 T Larkin 3422 LWW
4 C Monzon 3357 MW
5 E Perkins 3107 LWW
6 A Moore 2987 LHW
7 R.Marciano 2978 HW
8 S Mazzinghi 2961 LMW
9 Vicente Saldivar 2930 FW
9 Carlos Ortiz 2930 LW
10 G Tunney 2810 HW
11 M Hagler 2787 MW
12 R Jones Jr 2748 LHW
13 Jose Angel Lapoles 2550 WW
14 Benny Leonard 2548 LW
15 J Louis 2544 HW
16 Flash Elordes 2508 SFW
17 Wilfredo Gomez 2440 SBW
18 Carlos Hernandez 2387 LWW
19 Floyd Patterson 2351 HW
20 Sugar R Robinson 2214 MW
21 L Holmes 2200 HW
22 Jack Johnson 2174 HW
23 T Loughran 2168 LHW
24 Harry Wills 2124 HW
24 Nicolino Locche 2124 LWW
25 Sugar R Leonard 2096 WW
25 Joe Frazier 2096 HW
26 Davey Moore 2073 FW
I limited the list to those with 200 points or more. I was going to stop at 10 or 15, but as you can see that would have put out both the Sugar Rays, Larry Holmes, and Joe Frazier, and for that reason I felt we had better go this far.
I expected it to be HW dominated, and I was pleasantly surprised to see that the top 5 only contains one, the top 10 only contains 3, of the 'marquee' division. There is also only one truly modern fighter in the mix, Roy Jones Junior.
So i figure that we could do this in a similar way to the lists on 'Current Scene', if anyone seriously objects to a fighters position then we can vote on a move? I myself was shocked at how low down the ranking system seems to have SRR, and that was what prompted me to do this post in the first place. I would have had SRR tied for top spot with Ali myself, so I have some issues with the points, that I had never realised till I put the fighters from different weights together.

I don't agree with the HW ALL-TIME list myself...
Their top three are Ali, Marciano and Tunney.
Myself I do not see how Tunney ranks so high as a HW. On a p4p basis I would rate him pretty high, but he didnt do much at HW, in my opinion, to warrant being so highly ranked.
My top three (in no order) are Ali, Louis and Marciano.
