Cuevas vs Trinidad
Who win's this match-up of hard hitting WW's? I think i'll go with Tito getting up from a Knockdown in the early going to finish him off Cuevas was a tough guy with a hard chin and a powerful left hook but Titos better handspeed and 2 Fisted Power take it for me Tito KO 4-6

I'll pick Cuevas. He had a good chin(forget the Hearns fight,Hearns was possessed back then)And I think that Cuevas hits extra hard.Trinidad would come forward trying to take him out,and get caught with a big Pipino hook, that wobbles him,and sets him up for the finish.Cuevas by k.o.,john2345 wrote:Tito by KO - more skilled than Cuevas

He wasn't Hearns but he was still more skilled than Cuevas and his arsenal was better Trinidad could hurt you with anything Straight Right L'RUppercut.. Hook.. I see Tito stopping him like Duran did..meade95 wrote:Trinidad was no Hearns at WW....Not even close.
I'd go with P. Cuevas by TKO between 6-9 rounds....

Yeah...I agree to a point.
At the same time Trinidad was a target for both the left hook upstairs and to the body...(Cuevas weapon of choice)......My guess is a prime Cuevas lands his with more damage then what Trinidad lands back on him....
It is a good fight......interesting style match-up....

Are you really that stupid? Let me explained for you retard, oops, sorry I meant mentally challenge retard like you. When Cuevas was body punching he was always quite open for the left hook. He did have the tendency to keep his left hand to low and that made him very susceptible to the left hook. did you saw any of his fights?Decagon wrote:Dumbass. Cuevas never fought Campas. When was Cuevas open to the left hook?Borinken25 wrote:Vs. Yori boy CampasDecagon wrote:Like in what fight at 147?
That is the one of the reaons i picked Trinidad to win he had a better offensive arsenal than Cuevas.. Yes it would not only Does Cuevas pack more power in his hook he has a better chin and is tougher.. In a fight with them trading Hooks I have to favor CuevasDecagon wrote:A lot of good left hookers are open to the counter left; so was Trinidad. Most people who caught Cuevas with the left hook got blasted out, and most of the people who caught Trinidad with the left hook got blasted out. That's why they say, "don't left hook with a left hooker." Trinidad relying on the left hook against Cuevas would be a poor strategy, in fact, because it would leave Trinidad open to Cuevas's best punch. A better strategy would be for Trinidad to mix up his offense. Your analysis is faulty.

First I didn't say that Trinidad was going to rely only on his left hook. Second what I said was that Cuevas was very susceptible to the left hook because when he was trying to punch his opponent to the body it looks like he was aiming to the balls not to the body and after he did that he was very slow in bringing his left hand back into position.Decagon wrote:A lot of good left hookers are open to the counter left; so was Trinidad. I said Trinidad's best punch, not only punch or you can't read between the lines?Victor*KC wrote:The only thing you talked about was the Left-hook where do we see anything else?Borinken25 wrote:Trinidad wins by brutal KO inside of 2 rounds.
