Ricky Hatton has admitted he is ready to give up the IBF belt to fight Jose Luis Castillo.
Hatton beat Juan Urango on points in January to reclaim the IBF light-welterweight title to set up a 'super-fight' showdown with the exciting Mexican Castillo.
However, the IBF have warned Hatton that they will strip him of the crown if he refuses to face mandatory challenger Lovemore N'dou in his next fight.
But despite the threat Hatton, who has already lost three world titles out of the ring despite never losing inside in it, told Sky Sports: "It is full steam ahead. The Castillo will go ahead 100% in June and is going to be in Las Vegas.
"It is up to my promotional team to sort out with the IBF what is going to happen, but if I am going to have to vacate the belt, sadly that is what I will have to do."
There had been speculation Hatton would look at retiring in the next two years, however the Manchester fighter insists there are still a number of people he wants to fight.
He said: "I will take one fight at a time but there are still a lot of good fights out there.
"You have got the Castillo fight, you've got Mayweather if he decides to fight on after the De la Hoya bout, there's (Miguel) Cotto and I haven't ruled out a move up to welterweight again if the right fight comes along.
"There are loads of mega-fights for me, Diego Corrales is also moving up to junior welterweight, so a lot of big names and still a lot of great fights."
