Well calling Klassen the weakest of the champions would be correct. In a division full of rich talent such as champs Barrera, Pacquiao(Ring champ) Guzman & Valero..Klassen just happens to be the weakest.
I still think he beats Arthur though.
But with a win over St Clair, in what by all reports was one hell of a fight, there is much promise.
In my opinion Pac is overrated and his bubble will soon burst. Barrera's on the way out. Guzman was poor last time out and I believe he has stamina and power issues - there's something half arsed about him. Valero looks increasingly lethal but who knows, Klassen might be the future of the divisision for all any of us know.
Well I guess if stopping 2 ATG's (both top 5 P4P at the time) doesn't do it for you then not much else will.
Pacquiao, Barrera and Guzman have all proven themselves truly world class, beating a reigning champ of err 3 months in St Clair does not imo.
I reckon you are alittle biased or optimistic towards the more obscure fighters/prospects and don't give much props to those that really merit some.
I know what you mean. But Pac is a fighter who generates much excitement and it can be too easy to put that kind of fighter on a pedestal - Tyson, even Lacy - after you see ppl fold against them. Yes Pac is a legit great, wins over bigger men Morales and Barrera attest to that. But this man was given an absolute lesson by JMM from rds 3 through 11. I still feel, if you take him out his game early, he will be lost.
I think that when Valero gets some more experience, he will break Pacquiao into pieces.
I do prefer obscure fighters to well known ones. Better known ones take part in too many celeb fights where you know what's going to happen. Pac-Morales 3 for instance. I mean what was the point?
We can say this and that about the elite super feathers. But Guzman blows after every sustained attack and has to recover slipping and sliding on the ropes. He outclassed Barrios but he allowed the judges to nearly give it to the Argie...The power that he liked as a 122 has abandoned him and despite being a mega talent looks very uneasy...Pac has come up from much smaller weights - could he really have competed with super feather legends Nelson & Brian Mitchell; how would he have done against peak Casa, Corrales and Mayweather?
