"Brockton light heavyweight Manuel Antonio Lopes (1-0, 1 KO) made quick work of Watson Myrtil (0-1) of Orlando, Fla., in both fighters’ pro debut.
Lopes attacked Myrtil as soon as the bell rang and 30 seconds into the fight, after Lopes punched Myrtil into a corner, referee Charlie Dwyer gave Myrtil a standing eight count. Myrtil said that he wanted to continue fighting. It was a bad decision.
Lopes dropped Myrtil about a minute into the fight with a left-right-left combination to Myrtil’s jaw.
Myrtil got up before the 10 count but continued to take a beating until Dwyer stopped the bout 1:14 after it began to award Lopes the TKO. "
