MARK THOMPSON - Moved to 10 zero with an impressive 60-54 win over the Ingle trained Lee Noble on Friday night in Leeds. Mark took the fight to Noble from the first bell and worked him over with steady pressure scoring with both body and head shots - it was a sign of genuine toughness on Lees part that prevented the stoppage win for Mark.
STUART McFADGEN - On the same show as Mark ,Stuart beat another Ingle trained fighter John Baguely in what proved a harder contest. From the off Stuart chased John around the ring and found it hard to catch the mobile Baguely ,who impressed with good lateral movement. However, in the 4th and final round John slowed down and a big round for Stuart seen him emerge as a worthy 39-38 winner.
ALI NUUMBEMBE - Finished off his sparring on Friday ready for his assault on the Commonwealth title in Scotland against the tough Kevin Anderson. Ali has put a lot of hard sparring rounds under the belt including many with the stocky Denton Vassel and left hooker Mark Thompson. He goes into the contest as a big underdog but we feel if he gets through the anticipated early onslaught, that his better boxing skills should prevail in a hard fought victory.
WAYNE PINDER - After 18 months out Wayne is back in the gym and plans to took away some ring rust on the Jamie Moore card on the 13th April ,before joining the fragmented Middleweight title mix after that. Wayne has an impressive 26 fight record with only 1 reversed defeat against Damon Hague which he never got chance to settle in a third fight which was muted 3 times but never happened. This treatment was one of the reasons Wayne quit boxing , but he says he is now back mentally tougher and wants a Lonsdale belt .
