Question to Mods/Editors...

Post by VanesBoxing »

How do I go about becoming an editor to help better BoxRec and become a part of the moderating/editing team??

I am especially interrested in becoming the editor for Armenia since we do not have one on BoxRec.
Id say im qualified for the job given I am a boxing publicist and also do web design and promotions out of Los Angeles, CA.

My sites and clients include:

VIC "Raging Bull" DARCHINYAN - http://www.VicDarchinyan.com

Vanes "the Nightmare" Martirosyan - http://www.VanesBoxing.com

also - trainer Freddie Roach - http://www.WildCardBC.com

Thank you, :TU:

There is no pro boxing scene in Armenia, despite the fact that there are several boxers who have been developed out of that country. I suspect that the lack of boxing is driven by genocide, communism, and diaspora, that have affected the Armenian people and their ancestral homeland over the last 150 years.

Since most Armenian boxers fight out of countries in which we have adequate representation (i.e., US, Germany, Australia), it would not improve this site at all to have another editor who would not be able to really contribute anything besides editing boxer profiles or editing existing results.

I appreciate your response and understand completely.

Still, given we do have 2 current World Champions in Arthur Abraham and Vic Darchinyan, plus arguably the #1 Jr. Middleweight prospect in the world in Vanes Martirosyan, I think it wouldnt be so bad to have our flag and name in the editors list.

I think i could provide some insight and just help overall since I am online quite a bit because of my job and do frequent BoxRec often.

Thank you.
