HARRISON or SPROTT? (LETS LAY OUR OFFICIAL PREDICTIONS)
Logic says Audley.
But Sprott does have a full training camp, plus tough fight experience.
Toughie to pick, i dont think either guy has the power to take the other out.
Both sound confident but it doesn't take that much to put either back in his shell.
Gonna go with Audley on points, but that 10/1 Sprott on points is well tempting... This thread will help me place my bet.

Maybe my heart is over-ruling my head.....but styles makes fights and I'm thinking/hoping that Audleys technical skills and speed will allow him to land more often than Matt and Danny did. Sprott has some very decent skills which stopped Matt and Danny landing with too much regularity, hopefully this won't be the case on Saturday, because I don't think Sprottys chin is the best. Thats my explanation for my Audley KO5 prediction.overhand_right wrote:It'll be interesting to see if he comes out & tries swarm Sprott the way he did Fat Dan.
5 round kayo is wishful thinking considering better hitters like Williams and Skelton took longer. But we'll see, i know your a hardcore Audley nut.
Also if Audley can stop Danny in 3 rounds and it took Vitali 8 rounds then you do the maths.....meant in jest, although I do think Auds power is uner-rated

I disagree, but we'll have alot more info on the matter on Sunday.nickd wrote:The Williams that Harrison beat was in no condition to be walking down the street let alone in a boxing ring. Harrison is the same fighter that lost to Williams and Guinn nothnig has changed.
I know Danny only had just over a weeks notice for the fight, but he was saying he had been in training as he was expecting the opportunity and that he was in better shape than he was for the Skelton fight, he was 20lbs lighter than he was for the Skelton fight (according to boxrec records)
Irrespective of what Danny Audley was fighting in December, Audleys performance showed a massive improvement on the previous years encounter IMO. Audley now looks to have his 'head on', but as I said earlier we'll now more on Sunday
Sprott on points or late stoppage...Harrison's win over Williams flattered him immensely. The stamina and timidness issues were not answered due to Williams complete lack of conditioning.
Harrison was in today's Guardian beating his chest again and claiming the public need to respect him etc etc the win over Williams is the biggest smoke and mirrors win i have EVER seen in my time watching British Boxing...never has such a routine KO of a punch drunk, lumbering behemouth gained so much unwarranted hype and "redemption" it is sickening me.
Come on Sprotty remove this arrogant pretender once and for all

Yes, I must concur Steve, you would have thought he had single handedly tackled King Kong (although the weight was similar), captured him, bitten his balls of, them bent him over and butfucked him, rather than spearing a bloated, undermotivated and woefully past it shell of a relatively mediocre fighter.
It's easy to look like the Charlie Big potatoes when you are hitting little more than a (very) heavy bag.
Christ, Williams has been pretty much toasted since the Klitchsko fight.

It all depends on which Harrison turns up.
If it's the one that looked confident (and actually seemed like he wanted to be in there) against Williams, then I'd have no problems picking him. That's despite the fact that Williams was badly out of shape, and heading to the wrong side of shot. Williams' condition certainly had a bearing on the fight, but Harrison was right mentally regardless.
If the gun-shy and reticent Harrison returns then it'll be an awful, action free, close fight. Neither man really commiting, and the viewers lose out again.
If I have to pick, I'll take Harrison. I'm sure that he knows that his career is very much on the line in every fight from here on in. I think he'll try and impose himself early on Sprott and win a fairly wide decision.

Seems like too many people have been sucked into Harrison's postfight bravado after beating the corpse of Danny Williams.
If Sprott starts fast I see Harrison reverting to the petrified animal we saw against Williams and Guinn. Lets not forget Sprott is MUCH better than the Danny Williams who turned up for the first fight against Harrison and beat him - Williams was attrocious that night. His fear of engaging and getting hit is still there he just wasn't up against anything last time out. Even if he beats Sprott his next sheepish performance will not be too far away. Skelton would have him backpedalling for dear life if that fight ever happens.

My pick. Harrison wins.
Harrison has the talent. He actually applied it last time. Doesn't seem to have the same hunger this time around - hasn't trained as long and doesn't feel as urgent. Is this a recipe for disaster?
Hopefully not. Sprott doesn't know how to deal with a southpaw (Chagaev) and Audley has an inkling of what he's capable of now. Audley's key is to NOT back up. Side to side like last time. Outbox the guy, don't let him counter, and dig in hard when it gets close.
Audley SHOULD be too big and skilled.

Williams' balance hasn't been right since the Klitschko fight. That beating ruined him. While he has gained a few wins since then pretty much all his performances have been piss poor. And we don't even need to go into his conditioning.viciousmaussa wrote:yeah but either that or he's a fat off balance ploddernickd wrote:Never mind the weight Williams had zero balance and was not in any sort of fighting condition. My arse he'd been training.
