Audley Vs Sprott

I don't think the odds for this fight reflect how close the fight could be. I'd like to have a bet on Audley, but the odds are wank (hmmmm Sprott on points

). The bookies have virtually got it as a gimme for Audley, but this is a tough fight. Sprott doesn't get stopped that often (esp lately) and has good stamina and skills, so if he makes it to the halfway mark he could pose some questions for Audleys as yet unproven stamina.

Audley looked the best I've seen him when he beat Danny in December, I know Danny took the fight on short notice and he wasn't at his best, but it was Audleys performance I was impressed with rather than Dannys lack of, hopefully he backs up that performance with more of the same on Saturday. He needs to come out with the same aggression as he did against Danny and not just wait for the mistakes. Audleys power is under-rated IMO, I reckon he stops Sprott in about round 5, but it could be very interesting if they have to go down the stretch.

Im not great with odds speak, how the fook does Audley on points 13/8 work?

What the hell does that mean? Any of you degenerate gamblers break it down for me?

£10 on Audley to win on points would return £26.25. £16.25 profit plus your original £10 back.

For every £8 you bet, you win £13 back (plus your stake), so if you put £8 on win £21 back in total

So if i laid 16 brick Audley on points, i'd collect my original 16 plus winnings of 26 brick?

Yup, if you put 16 quid on it you'll get 42 back (26 + 16) if it comes in

13/8, multiply your stake by 13 and divide it by 8. You win that plus your stake back. Easy.

15/2 for instance multiply by 15, divide by 2.

Its so straightforward its untrue.

I'd say an even easier way to work it out is that you lay out the amount on the right to win the amount on the left.

Give Mr Bookmaker £8. Audley wins on points and Mr Bookmaker gives you back £13.

So you make £5 but risking £8 to do so.

Harrison should win this fight comfortably, but he SHOULD have beaten Danny Williams comfortably in 2005 (first fight), so who knows?

Yeah yer right actually. I was pissed in a hotel room when I wrote that. Works out at just over 2-1 I guess.
