DAMN. That's not cool.

It may not be the cause because of the fight itself but training and all that pressure from training and coming back may have been too much for his heart to take. Or it could have been just a fluke.

That's terrible. It sounds like he did everything he was supposed to do to ensure that he was healthy enough to fight. It would be a huge coincidence for the training or fight not to be the trigger for this. I didn't know that he had a medical condition.

...Except remind himself that he was nearly 40, hadn't fought in over 7 years, and had been badly kayoed the last time he did fight. On top of that, he had worrisome evidence from at least one medical test. It sounds to me like the "other doctiors" he chose to listen to were the ones who were telling him what wanted to hear.

I wish him the best for his recovery, but the above kind of scenario is just a recipe for trouble - you don't an EEG to tell you that.

Well, this is what happens when your inactive for almost half a decade and start gunning after a legit HW prospect whose at least top 30 potential. He should have known he was gonna be out gunned and wouldnt be able to stand a chance.

When I did the computer simulation on this fight months prior it said Minto would win by knockout/stoppage in the middle rounds---thought I'd just mention that in.

This just goes to show the problems in boxing, where fighters can bypass anything in certain places and get doctors for the right fee too sign over anything that is needed.

Eric you pretty much summed up my thoughts. He really matched himself tough for such a long layoff and there were some ominous signs before which he chose to ignore.

Sounds like that beating hs really messed him up. Hope he gets better.
