Not suprised they put it on itv4. If he just kept his mouth shut until he fought someone decent they wouldnt be a problem. He thinks he's mayweather or something

Did Rawlings say Khan had charisma

Amir did what should have been expected of him - no more no less. When he does that to a lightweight we can start to lighten up on the lad a bit.

I see former Khan victim Ryan Barrett fights Jamie McKeever tomorrow at featherweight I believe

A thought on who Khan should fight in April - how about Gavin Rees? Makes sense with it being in Wales, both being Warren fighters. Be interesting to see Khan in with somebody who has ambitions of there own, a bit of tenacity about them - forget somebody with a punch I want to see him face somebody who's there to win :-?

What exactly does Amir Khan owe you lot? You'd think his fights were on PPV.

I still think that if you look at Khan's 11 opponents, not in any order I would still say its a decent resume for a 19/20 year old novice.

The problem I have is there doesn't seem to be in an order of progression. The likes of Komjathi and his fight before last, the "title" fight were very good learning fights - but he should really progress from that level. All the domestic names mentioned here are significant step ups and he needs a bit of a bridge from the likes of KOMJATHI not this last opponent.

This guy would have been fine for his 6th fight, leading on to a Komjathi fight. It is a step down though from his current standing and he should be having step downs if he wants to fight for British and World honours before the years end.

Khan is a young, genuine athlete with an exciting style. You can't compare him with Audley Harrison.

Amir Khan owes none of us anything. However, he owes it to himself to stop talking rubbish and start showing a bit more humility. I used to think it was all ITV drumming him up and raving about him. But lately Amir's doing a good enough job of this by himself while all the time his opposition gets worse. Talking about a fight with Graeme Earl if Earl had won tonight Amir said it would have been 'more than realistic for the end of the year'. So he's his own matchmaker now aswell? And in the meantime he fancied winning the British and Euro titles. Well why not? Anything to keep yourself busy  The lads got talent and and I hope he does well god knows this country needs him too. But while hes fighting super feathers that are ranked outside the top hundred he shouldn't be talking so cockily about lightweights that could take his head off.

Frankie already has.

It's going to take some time, but Khan will lose down the road; it took Audley years remember. Bit of a shame really, as like Harrison there's genuine talent. The problem in both cases is mental conditioning. There ain't none.

Handling fighters is a tricky business, as stepping up too early can be more psychologically hazardous than taking it easy. Confidence level is a massive factor. Great boxers are always strong believers in themselves, yet realise their own weaknesses in comparison to rivals.

Khan could be a world contender, but I can't see it happening because he doesn't notice his mistakes; both in the gym and out. Where's the influential guidance from a good trainer?
If he does reach the upper ranks, I'm sure Amir will owe major thanks to someone for putting his achievements into perspective.

Things that annoy me about Amir....

He believes the hype and thinks hes better then he really is.

He already believes he's a champion

He mouths off saying he will fight anyone..but only fights no punchers

His entourage have to enter the ring when he wins :x eg his dad, uncles, taxi driver manager, managers son, cousins.

Emma, good point about all the hangers on in the ring, gets right on my tits as well. Normally when a member of the family tries to get in they get hassled, but not the golden boy  every pudendum and their aunties budgie get in their. ITV know fornicate all about boxing, only ratings
