Khan was a rising star in the Amateurs, but was very fortunate as he could have been drawn against Kindelan in the first round of the Olympics and we would be saying Khan who? The rematch was such a carnival and a farce. If Khan had stayed Amateur he still wouldnt be Olympic or World Champ as the exceptional Alexey Tischenko is now 60kg and imo is better than Kindelan.

I don’t want to compare Amir to A-Force but it seems to be going the same way. Top of the bill fights or almost, trying to big up opponents records massive press coverage.

Can we see Khan taking on Thaxton, John Murray, Graham Earl, let alone Junior Witter, Ricky Hatton, Juan Diaz or someone of that level as that’s what he and his camp are saying World title World Level opponents.

Oh I forgot WBO Champion, let the carnival roll on :TU:

John Murray Vs Khan would show us who is our best prospect
you're right. Except Murray has looked a powder puff puncher who is to easy to hit. Khan wins with ease if it happens.

It wouldnt be so bad if it was just his dad and uncle but they all run in like he's just won a world title fight or something and he's only beat a featherweight.

No I think that shows you know shyte about boxing :TU:

And that is why boxing is losing its appeal, there are too many lemons who know f-all about boxing who would buy a ticket to see this farce...spend all evening in the bar drinking and only go to watch one mis-match...and cheer when he gets the 100% guaranteed win.

Boxing is about entertainment...watching a one-sided farce, a farce thats more about what rnd the guy can last till is not my idea of entertainment...maybe if you looked back at what boxing once was you would see what a no-brainer you really come across as :TU:

I'm a fan of Khan's.

He's a likeable young man that respects his peers, is very accommodating & appears to have decent talent.

He doesn't go around dissing other fighters, then having one or two fights a year against nightclub bouncers.

He may never become an ATG, but only time will tell, but IMO, he does deserve the support of the British fight fan. :box:

Yup I agree I've no problem with the lad himself. What I do find highly disrespectful is when Warren goes around saying he's going to be the best British fighter ever, but that's not really Kahn's fault.

Your missing the point Error, he aint fought anybody with a heart beat and they go on as if he's ready for Ricky Hatton for fucks sake. Cut out the s/feather nonsense, and at least give him someone who is genuinely his own size and weight, who can punch, and has some talent, then maybe people will lighten up. Still amazes me people pay to watch this utter shit

Good point.

If I was Khan, I'd get a new promoter.

F rank Warren is an unlucky charm (that promises world title shots  ) & everything he touches turns to **** (clue, it's not gold)! :TU:

Its just the same at our corner shop, you go in and you are greeted by the whole family - Seriously though Asian families are like that and good for them - How many other boxers enjoy such family support - Hatton doesnt do too badly either with mum, dad and brother Matthew.

The lad has to have a decent opponent later this year and if he doesnt especially with all the hype we should all complain to mr. W - If he is that special, and I think he may well be, its time to take a bit of a risk to find out - He has made good money fighting odds on favourites to lose - He needs a 60 40 fight at least if not a 50 50 to get some real respect.

Khan now needs better opposition. He is now out of the zone of comfort that was rightly afforded him prior to this fight. I am prepared to give him a lot of latitude because he isn't a latino from the favellas that has known no other way out but to spark people along the way. He is a genuine talent, wiith a functional background that has been nurtured and protected to this point. I want to see the lad fulfill his promise and reach the height that his potential promises and stick two fingers up at the detractors that believe that boxing is just about knocking out or being knocked out.

"Yo Adeela, I did it!"

It's not Amir's fault for the most part, he's carried along on a carriage of lies. He should be avoiding danger men at this stage of his career, what he shouldn't be doing, is planning ahead to the world stage.

Khan has a free pass to everything. Talks like a cocky little pudendum and we're told how likable and charismatic he is. We have to endure books, DVDs, and a string of laughably weak hand picked fall guys, and then we're told how great he is by himself, Warren, Rawling, and McKenzie and co. The whole thing is a shambles.

Amir Khans future is Audley Harrison. I wouldn't be surprised if Thaxton iced him cold the same way Sprott did and we can end this nonsense.

3 Pages long and no ones noted that Khans sitting on his shots now and throwing real shots as oppossed to the powder puff shoe shinners he was throwing in his earlier fights. Yes he needs to step up but he can only fight whos put in front of him

Speaking of Warren he will be even more cautious of Khan now after a bad night for him. Hes pretty much lost the Audley gravy train for what it was worth. Earl who was supposed to be an easy WBO title for Khan no longer will be and his career may now be over
